SYNJECO SACalabash Gourd Tobacco pipe Care Hints for well smoking and good careNEW
|
The following comments will give a idea how you can handle your Calabash Pipe with care. No matter, that you can get other variants, agree or not!
All your suggestions will be welcome!!
- Without a good care, any try to smoke well a Calabash Pipe (and also any other Tobacco Pipe) will be unsuccesful
- To remove the mouthpiece hold the pipe at the shunk and not at the Gourd, to avoid stress on the shunk
- To remove the Meerschaum piece turn it careful
- Fill a third part of the gourd with alcohol and shake it in the same way as you do with a glass of Brandy
- 4-5 minutes later empty the gourd trough the small part (shunk)
- Then you can remove the solved parts with a cloth or a brush
- The mouthpiece should be cleaned in the same way as other mouthpieces
- The Meerschaum part:
- The upper side (= tobacco chamber):
will be cleaned as a normal meerschaum pipe
- The lower side:
can be cleaned with a in alcohol humidified cloth - if they are some rests of coal, you can fire them with a lighter (the "lighter Procedure" takes the advantage, that you reinforce the lower part, which maybe becomes soft
Let dry the Calabash not mounted for a 12 hours
- We recommand this cleaning procedure after maximum 20 smoke pleasures
- Remark:
Take care, that the damages can be repaird only if they concern the mouthpiece or the meerschaum part. manufacturers exclude all guarantee on the "gourd" - here the only one way is that you try with a good glue . . .
- Even when this way seems complicated, they dont should be a barreer to buy a Calabash Gourd Tobacco Pipe!
