The Dolphin by Macos

This is one of the most unique pipes in my collection. As you can hopefully understand from the pictures, it comes in three pieces: the mother-dolphin who kindly functions as the pipe, the baby-dolphin is carries matches in his tommy in case mum need to get warm, and the comfy little stand, where they both can contemplate life and look to the future.

The pipe is made by a rather unknown pipe maker who is called Massimo Cosmo. The pipe is stamped Macos, which is a combination of the other names "Ma" for "Massimo", and "cos" for "Cosmo". Massimo made two pieces of that pipe. The one I have carried the following stampings: On the pipe: "BY Macos - TA, and on the briar base: (Line 1) "N^o 001/1996", (Line 2): "BY Macos - TA".

The other piece is believed to be still in the maker's possession.

As I (Tarek!) have been given that pipe by a friend who is a good friend of the maker's, I can't tell you how much the pipe is, if it was indeed for sale (which I very much doubt).
